On the evening of April 24, 2025, I was invited to attend HeARTS For Hunger charity art auction at Osgoode Hall. There were many in attendance and a great deal of money was raised.
"The Law Society Foundation is honoured to present a charitable auction of original studies and paintings by the late Hon. Roy McMurtry in support of the Foundation’s Toronto Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program and the 58,000 meals served each year to those in need."

Same Old Blues
When friend, and fellow guitarist, Paul Mitchell, asked me if I'd ever considered making a video, my response was a simple: "NO!" Images of greasepaint, spandex pants, and models wearing tight black dresses playing air guitar quickly came to mind. However, I hadn't counted on Paul's persistence, His next question was: "Well, if you did make a video, what song would it be of?" A few weeks later he sent me some impressive, "first takes" of footage he had put together over the sound file for my song: "Same Old Blues." "Okay," I said, "I'm interested; just as long as I don't need to appear in the thing!" As you can see, I also caved on that point, appearing in a brief cameo of the finished product. Enjoy! Life is short, and who knows when you might get another chance to make a music video. Thanks, Paul!
